I'm Worth More Than My Situation

I was lost, broken, and hurting physically and mentally, and I began giving up on life.

I was physically, emotionally and mentally abused by my children's father to the point of near death while pregnant. I didn't know how I would continue living, but I knew I needed to find a safe, loving place for my children.

My mother told me about H-Town Dream Center, so I thought I would reach out to them about my kids. After talking with them, they made me realize I needed just as much love, hope and healing as they did. They took us in and helped me walk through my broken past, which has continued to impact my life as an adult.

My father passed away when I was three years old, and then my mother married my stepfather. After a few years together, he started molesting me behind my mom's back. My mother left him after discovering I became pregnant by him at ten years old. My mom took me to the doctor, where it was determined I had a miscarriage.

At the Dream Center, I have learned how much God loves my children and me and that I'm worth more than my situation. I am healing from the inside out, learning forgiveness and replacing lies with the truth of God's word.

I have been transformed, restored, and renewed by God, becoming a healthy mother to my amazing kids. I believe God used this place to literally save my life, my future, and the generations that come after me.

I am a graduate of the Dream Center's discipleship program and am now in the internship program. I am so thankful to God and the Dream Center for saving my life and giving me a new purpose to live for.
